Season 3 is upon us!

With Spring upon us it’s almost time to begin implementing season 3 plans! I’m already in process with getting electricity down there, but also have plans on building a stage/deck/dance floor. more on this in a sec. Going to check with the local Amish about wood and checking on concrete too. On another note, wondering if the bamboo on the property is usable for a cool decorative outhouse privacy wall/shelter. I‘ve been bouncing ideas off Ian and others too with hopes for either a compost toilet, a bathhouse in the future, using gravity for flushing, wood chips in an outhouse… so many ideas, I’m investigating them all! I already have two scheduled bookings for this summer… had a third one but that changed. They wanted to have a wedding on our property at the same time don’t want to spend anything. And I thought I offered a great deal. Perhaps they don’t realize how much is involved. Regardless, THAT inquiry got a fire lit under me to begin that expansion aspect of this business…. Hosting private parties (outdoors). that’s another reason a deck/stage is needed. What more could you ask for than a large gathering space with ample parking, and a spectacular view (esp at sunset)😍 on private property?! The wheels started spinning and the plans have begun. Now to get this website up to date and finalize brochures. Currently only AirBnB and VRBO have updated pics… priorities! 🤪 (Anyone know how to add a few more hours to each day? I already do Walmart pick up and currently in at the dentist with the lil man 😂). Currently that’s where all my business comes from. Word of mouth will get around but I haven’t really done a whole lot to advertise because there’s no need to yet! This is exactly why it only is what it is at this point. But still…. Happy with the progress and excited about more to come. Who knows… we may even be able to get a pontoon for boat tours (& turn it into a floating tiki bar??!!!) 😁. I’d love an A -frame glass bunkie too. Always dreaming big but efficiently. Stay tuned!
