More than a Business

As I officially become an LLC and ponder more what my business goals and desires are, I've come to feel like this isn't a typical business. It's more of developing and catering to individuals or groups desires for experiences, all occurring on our property. I'm now realizing I need to expand the umbrella to cover more, and "experiences" are about all I can come up with. Experiences now will include: (initial implementation - hassle-free camping riverside; additions: B&B-type options such as full-service, in-house dining, happy hour bonfires, boating excursions, renting equipment (such as kayaking)... and after Ian's VERY labor-intensive work on the beach (thanks John & Jay too!!!!) we have so much more potential!!! It can be an event venue (you KNOW I love planning & executing parties!). This week I'm hosting a young engaged couple celebrating his birthday. It'll be my first in-house dining experience with a homemade meal, I'm excited! And finally, there are many more opportunities & experiences to come, such as zumba and yoga on the beach, and I've even dabbled into on-site senior pictures (thanks for being my guinea pig, Paisley!). Next summer we hope to invest in a couple Amish-made cabins in different areas on the property. Looking forward to more discussions with Kerry, Larry, etc... for blackjack couples night with live music and a full dinner experience. Looking forward to future parties and events (especially after an awesome 4th of July here!). Hoping you'll be a part of it too! :-)
