B&B & COO Nameless No More
Today I decided on a name! "Hidden Garden B&B" is it. Hopefully it gives off the vibe that it's a great place for a getaway - whether you want privacy, a place away from home to feel at home, escape from reality, or a place to party and crash that isn't impersonal like a hotel would be... this will be the place! I WILL HAVE A GARDEN (now I just have to make sure I find a place where I can hide one haha). I also did some research today on other B&B in Ontario. Wasaga Beach/Tiny Beach have ZERO. Elmvale and other places nearby don't either. Collingwood seems to have the most (but no surprise there). I also searched to see if there were any B&B's with that name. Too bad I can't register the business until I have an address. I also did searches with features and found that there were none in Ontario that meet my criteria. The biggest setback was the inability to bring a pet. The next one was having a fireplace in the room. So I will provide the following for-sure: children & pet friendly, full breakfast, TV, Wi-Fi, fireplace in room, and hot tub. I think the recreational elements (ping pong, darts, whatnot) will be an attractive feature as well. I'll of course need to consider zoning & parking ordinances and the ability to conduct a business out of my home. OH and best yet - I have a COO (Chief Operations Officer)! Kelly Brannen-Sutherland will be my right-hand woman in this whole operation. When we get to hiring employees they will report to her. My organizational structure and management job positions have been identified and briefly describe the position as well. I am SO excited Kelly wants to work along side me. I think we'll make a fantastic, effective, and FUN team!
